Mammography Services
Bellaire and East Jordan Family Health Centers offer onsite mammography services with or without a doctors referral.Breast cancer is most treatable and curable when it is detected early. It is important to have a mammogram every year once you reach 40 years old. Depending on your family history, your risks and your provider’s findings, a mammography may be recommended earlier or more frequently.
Who is eligible for a mammogram screening?
- The US Preventive Services Task Force recommends that women who are 40 to 74 years old and are at average risk for breast cancer get a mammogram every 2 years.
- Any women age 40 and older may be eligible for our Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Navigation that provides annual breast exams, and mammograms at no cost to the patient.
What services do we provide?
- Clinical breast exams and mammograms
- Referrals for diagnostic breast care (those who are having problems with their breast) for all of our patients including those under the age of 40 and males are available through the East Jordan Family Health Center services.
- Self-Referring Mammograms
- Education
- Translation Services

Financial Assistance Available
We have programs available to help pay for breast services for those that are insured, under insured, uninsured or for those without insurance or have high deductibles.
