Bellaire and East Jordan Family Health Centers have been recognized as a Gold Advocacy Center of Excellence (ACE) by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), advancing from Silver to Gold status in February 2026.
The ACE program recognizes Community Health Centers that make advocacy an organizational priority. Gold is the program’s highest level of recognition and reflects the Health Center’s ongoing commitment to educating and engaging staff, board members, patients, community partners, and elected officials on issues affecting access to healthcare.
As a Gold ACE, the Health Center works alongside NACHC on federal policy priorities and the Michigan Primary Care Association on state and local issues that affect Community Health Centers and the patients they serve. Advocacy efforts include building relationships with elected officials, hosting legislative visits, participating in National Health Center Week, sharing advocacy updates, and encouraging staff and community members to make their voices heard.
This recognition reflects the dedication of our staff, Board of Directors, advocates, and community partners who help raise awareness of the important role Community Health Centers play in providing affordable, comprehensive, and innovative care.
ACE designations are valid for two years and are awarded at the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. Achieving Gold status demonstrates that advocacy is integrated throughout the Health Center’s operations and supports a stronger voice for our patients and communities at the local, state, and national levels.
