Today is #CensusDay, when everyone is encouraged to make sure they are counted and fill out the 2020 Census. As nonprofits, you have the unique advantage of working directly with households people who are often undercounted.
Here are a few action items you can take TODAY to ensure you are doing the best for the people you serve:
- Use email, social media, text messaging and more to remind staff, volunteers, clients and everyone else they can complete the census online, by phone or mail
- Join the online #CensusChallenge hosted by State Voices, Census Counts 2020 and The Leadership Conference
- Ensure your clients know the census is easy, protected and important
- Point your community to 888-Count20 if they have additional questions
