With over 45 years of experience, Dr. Brown brings clinical expertise and attentive listening to the Health Center. He prioritizes building strong relationships with his patients, taking the time to understand their individual needs and concerns. Dr. Brown graduated with honors from Albion College and majored in Chemistry, he pursued his passion for medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He honed his skills in Family Medicine during his residency at University of Wisconsin St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, before embarking on a diverse career path.
Dr. Brown spent several years in New Mexico, gaining valuable experience in both family medicine and urgent care at Lovelace Medical Center and later establishing his own private practice. With a thirst for leadership, he served as Chief of Staff at St. Joseph West Mesa Hospital, demonstrating his dedication to improving healthcare for the community.
In 2000, Dr. Brown returned to his Midwestern roots. Recognizing the potential in Mancelona, he established a satellite office in 2004, eventually solidifying his presence as the Medical Director of Mancelona Family Practice from 2004 – 2024. He also served as a Psychiatry Provider at North Country Community Mental Health for 17 years, highlighting his dedication to supporting mental wellbeing alongside physical health.
With a commitment to comprehensive and compassionate care, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to every patient visit. In his spare time, Dr. Brown enjoys skiing, sailing, and hunting. He also enjoys traveling with his wife.
