Elevate Your Career as a Medical Assistant in a Supportive Team Environment!

Are you a certified Medical Assistant looking to leverage your skills and make a difference? We’re seeking a passionate and experienced MA to join our established, team-based health center!

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Thrive in Collaboration: Become an integral part of our supportive team, working alongside experienced providers to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Seek Continuous Growth: Refine your clinical and administrative expertise in a positive environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Value Work-Life Balance: Maintain a healthy schedule with consistent 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, with occasional half-day Saturdays.

We offer a compelling package, including:

  • Competitive Hourly Wage: ($18.50 – $20.00)
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health insurance (family coverage available after 30 days!), 401(k), paid time off, and more!

Ready to take your career to the next level? We are!

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare patients for the provider visit: Take vital signs (height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) and enter data into the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Gather patient information: Enter the patient’s reason for visit, review and update chronic problems, past medical/surgical/family/social history, reconcile medications, and update allergies – all within the EMR.
  • Support the provider: Order diagnostic tests (x-rays, mammograms, labs) and referrals as directed.
  • Perform clinical procedures: Conduct EKGs, Spirometry, OAE testing, tympanography, audiometry, vision testing, and oxygen administration after demonstrating competency.
  • Deliver patient care: Administer immunizations, injectable medications (upon competency), and medication refills (using e-prescribing whenever possible) following standing orders or provider instructions.
  • Educate patients: Provide written or verbal patient education within your scope, documenting everything in the EMR.
  • Communication hub: Answer phone calls from patients, families, providers, pharmacies, and other clinics/hospitals, documenting all communication in the EMR.
  • Maintain the work environment: Keep exam rooms clean and stocked, and act as a chaperone during exams as needed.
  • Professionalism matters: Present a professional appearance and approach when interacting with patients and staff.

We’re looking for a team player with:

  • A passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid Medical Assistant certification.

Join our established health center and make a lasting impact on the community alongside a supportive team!
