This garden is a nonprofit that is not under The Village of Alanson’s care and is maintained by volunteers.

Play with the toys on Monday! This is a great opportunity to connect with each other, play with some different toys, and look at and check out library books. Drop-in between 10:00am and 11:30am or stay the whole time.

This program is best for ages 0-5. Siblings and children of all ages are welcome

Each Tuesday will have a different local organization sponsored by Fudgees. 20% of proceeds will go towards each night‘s featured organization.

Weekly Wildflower Walk
Every Tuesday, 10:30am (1.5 hrs), Free to attend, donations gratefully accepted.

Take a leisurely stroll through the scenic trails of Grass River Nature Area alongside knowledgeable docent Lyn Petty. Discover the stunning variety of wildflowers and learn to identify their unique beauty. As we wander, keep an ear out for the delightful melodies of the birds that call Grass River home. Join us every Tuesday at 10:30am to see new flowers in bloom. Donations are gratefully accepted.

The Family Coalition connects families with children prenatal to age 12. We gather for family friendly events and share parenting tips, tricks, and community resources. We also build friendships and share our stories to help create a stronger early childhood system in Northern Michigan. Most importantly, we have a lot of fun. Pack a picnic and head to Pennsylvania Park in Downtown Petoskey for CTAC’s annual Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park Series! Held 12:00 – 1:00 pm each Wednesday and Friday, June 19 through August 14, the concert series brings local musicians to the Gazebo stage. Bring a lunch, lawn chair, or picnic blanket and enjoy live music in the park! These performances are free and open to the public.

Evenings at the Gazebo Returns June 24 for Another Summer of Music in Old City Park, Boyne City

This free concert series is amplified by Black Diamond Broadcasting and runs every Wednesday evening from June 24 through August 26, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gazebo in Downtown Boyne City.

The season kicks off on Wednesday, June 24, with local favorite Full Moon Jam Band, sponsored by Challenge Mountain.
This opening performance is especially meaningful as the band features Bill Aten, the Boyne Area Chamber’s 2025 Volunteer of the Year.
Residents and visitors alike are invited to gather at Old City Park for an evening of live music, community connection, and summer fun in the scenic park setting along the Boyne River. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, along with their favorite food and beverages, and settle in for one of Boyne City’s most treasured summer traditions.
